The interior of the Presidential Suite evokes early 19th Century Europe with its various Biedermeier pieces and renaissance artworks, topped off with traditional Pixiu dragons guarding the entrance. White on dark oak, grey against ornate gold, and black set with the royal dark hues of red. The King Room is located one level below the main garden in a private section of the house, and has a separate lounge with minibar and coffee/tea making facilities which can interconnect with the Queen Suite.
This intimate space, with a modern and antique ensemble, overlooks one side of Lion’s Head, an iconic peak in Table Mountain National Park. The double-volume ceiling allows for warm afternoon light to stream into the room, creating a wonderful place to relax. The room itself is reminiscent of safaris.
