Day 1 – 3

Redbourne Hilldrop, Cape Town

When exploring Cape Town and the Garden Route, set in Oranjezicht on the upper slopes of Table Mountain, Redbourne Hilldrop boasts stunning views over Cape Town and the harbour. This 1928 home has been attentively restored and carefully modernised to provide en-suite convenience combined with old-world charm. The subtle and creative colours in both fabric and finish, contribute to the individual flavour of each room.

Day 4 – 5

Maison Chablis Guest House, Franschhoek

After exploring Cape Town, head to Maison Chablis, ideally situated within easy walking distance to Franschhoek’s main street, surrounded by majestic mountains and valley views. The four-star guest house offers Georgian-style accommodation in eight en-suite rooms, surrounded by serene gardens and overhanging oak trees.

Day 6 – 7

Knysna Manor House, Knysna

“At Upperwood Manor” is set in the hills of Knysna, with a relaxed atmosphere, close to the N2 garden route. Your hosts, Rykie and Theressa, their yorkies and bunny will welcome you in their home with open arms. Guests can expect beautifully, uniquely designed bedrooms, all en suite, and each with a bar fridge, TV and private patio. Breakfast is served on the main terrace. The reception room/guest lounge/library/art gallery will make you feel at home immediately. The house has a view over the hills and garden. There is also a family self-catering unit with full kitchen, lounge, 2 bedrooms and patio (breakfast not included in this unit).

All guests may make use of braai facilities if arranged. A picnic basket can also be arranged a day before at extra cost. One complimentary bottle of spring water per guest will be supplied as you are advised not to drink tap water that is not boiled. Homemade rusks, coffee and tea will be supplied in the bedroom, as well as bathroom amenities, linen and towels. Please bring own beach towels. It is only a short walk or 2 minute drive to the lake and shops are close by. The nearest beach is only a 5 minute drive, depending on the traffic.

All of our bedrooms are generously proportioned, have ample facilities for sitting and relaxing, guests also have at their disposal, remote controlled TV with access to DSTV channels.

Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast and dinners (on request),served in the comfort and conviviality of our guest dining room/lounge. Subject to prior arrangement, guests can also make use of the billiard table, and communal braai/barbeque facility.

Happy Jackal Guest House, Addo Elephant National Park

Big Five game-viewing makes the Happy Jackal the perfect choice of luxurious accommodation. This river lodge lies on the banks of the beautiful Sundays River and only 2 km from the Addo Elephant National Park. Easily reached from the N2 it is an ideal location for game, coastal or river activities.

Extensive lawns stretch down to the Happy Jackal jetty while unspoilt, natural bush is the habitat of kudu, nyala and bushbuck on the opposite banks. Port Elizabeth and its airport are only half an hour away, and in the opposite direction the historic, university town of Grahamstown would take the traveller a mere 45 minutes.
Accommodation at the Happy Jackal features a choice of 6 luxurious rooms, 5 of which enjoy stunning river views. Guests may choose from ground floor rooms opening onto private patios and the riverbank or impressively large, thatched upstairs rooms, each with its own thatched deck. Breakfasts cater to all tastes and include both a full English and health breakfast. Home-made jams and freshly baked bread are to be found at the breakfast table every morning. Evening meals can be arranged and are three-course, candlelit, and personally prepared suppers. Good food, good wine, good company is what Happy Jackal is all about.

Sky Blue Guest House, Kenton-On-Sea

Located in the small coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea is Sky Blue Guest House. The guesthouse is on the doorstep to the area’s natural and cultural attractions such as Big 5 Game Reserves, Kariega and Middle Beaches and Bushmans Canoe Trail, and Xhosa Cultural Township Tours.

The guesthouse includes three suites and two bedrooms. Accommodation includes a living and dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, a TV and a couch overlooking the ocean. Additionally, bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
