COVID-19

Greetings,

We at East Cape Tours, are aware of the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) that has currently been in the news for a while and has rapidly evolved. We are monitoring and keeping up-to-date with the situation and reports.

Furthermore, due to increasing concerns regarding travel during the COVID-19 outburst, we have amended our terms and conditions slightly for those who are directly affected by the outbreak and as a tour operator, we have to liaise with suppliers with regards to their policies as well.

Travellers who have booked with East Cape Tours for the next 6 months and have outstanding balances will be required to settle those amounts. Those travelling outside of the affected areas and wish to cancel, the normal cancellation policies will apply.

Clients will be offered to defer their booking for up to 15 months, based on whether you are travelling from an affected area or travelling outside of the affected area. Keeping in mind, that each case will be handled individually.

We still require all travellers to make sure that they take out personal travel insurance and to check the conditions of their travel insurance. We advise this, in order to protect the traveller from any negative incidents that may occur during the outbreak. For example, booking cancellations due to pandemics. Thus, we suggest that travellers also consider a “cancel for any reason” policy.

We know guests may be concerned about planning their holiday and travelling right now due to the Coronavirus. East Cape Tours are here to help ease any concerns about travel within southern Africa. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Thank you for your support.
