Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp is the perfect place for family and friends to relax and find peace among the beauty and luxurious wilderness setting.
A luxurious and intimate safari lodge, Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp is located in the south-western corner of the Sabi Sand Private Reserve sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park. This five star safari lodge nestles under the shade of indigenous riverine trees on the banks of the Msuthlu River overlooking the riverbed.
Thatched main zones include viewing decks and a comfortable lounge warmed by blazing fires. Meals are served in the dining room, or in the boma under star-studded skies. Each guest suite links to the communal lodge at Little Bush Camp via neat pathways through the trees. The lodge is another timber, stone, thatch, and glass build, on a larger scale. Its décor is also very contemporary, and its lounge and dining areas are open plan. In the lounge space, well-cushioned sofas and armchairs are set up around coffee and occasional tables, some made out of tree trunks. There’s also a cosy fireplace and an assortment of indoor plants, complementing the forest location.
The dining area contains chic individual tables and smart upright chairs, set out on polished wooden floors and under twinkling chandeliers. Little Bush’s well-stocked bar adjoins this space, with its line of stylish barstools. Guests can also tuck in to delicious food and drink on the lodge’s viewing decks and in its traditional boma. The boutique sells both curios and essential items, and you can take a trip to Amani Spa at either Bush Lodge or Earth Lodge to enjoy a range of massages and other pampering treatments. Finally, Little Bush has its own swimming pool, for a cool, relaxing escape from the African heat and sun loungers for a doze in comfort, when not on invigorating game drives.
Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp offers accommodation in six free-standing thatched luxury suites, making this lodge a super option for families, friends or small groups looking for exclusivity. With contemporary African design at the core, each suite includes luxury furnishings, a full en-suite bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower, romantically draped mosquito nets over large beds, air-conditioning, fans, minibar, tea and coffee facilities and a private viewing deck with a heated spa bath overlooking the riverbed.
The double volume thatched central area includes a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, dining area, full bar, deck, swimming pool with sun loungers, boma for starlit bush dinners and WiFi.
The Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp game drive safaris take place each morning and evening in open Land Rovers which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing visitors to view the vast interactions of the wild. For decades, visitors to Sabi Sabi have been intrigued by the local Shangaan culture and customs of nearby villages. Stories are shared by the many Shangaan staff members who call the private game reserve home; with their rich heritage, in-depth knowledge of the bushveld and local legends adding a fascinating dimension to a memorable safari. Now guests are able to gain even more insight into authentic village life by taking part in a tour of neighbouring communities during their stay at Sabi Sabi. Homes, schools, community centres and sports facilities are participating in the tour; and the proceeds from the small fee levied to guests all go directly back to the community.
