    Camp Moremi ★★★★

    Camp Moremi’s communal areas include a sunken bar, masterfully built around a large termite mound and ebony tree, an expansive lounge area with a beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. These areas, including the elevated dining area, connects by boardwalk to the fireplace in front of the camp. In addition, an open-air boma and secluded swimming pool complement the public area facilities.

    Accommodation

    Camp Moremi boasts 12 expansive, modern styled thatched safari tents, including one family room, and accommodates a maximum of twenty-four guests. The family room which includes two separate bedrooms and bathrooms connects through interleading doors. All standard tents are expansive with spacious bathrooms consisting of double vanities and showers, and private decks offering views over the Moremi Game Reserve. Subtle décor and lighting fixtures allow for a natural and warm atmosphere within each room to create a peaceful and harmonious blend with the surrounding environment.

    • FAMILIES – Accepts children from six years and older.
    • ROOMS – 11 Luxury Tents & 1 Family Tent (2 en-suite bedrooms) accommodating a maximum of 24 guests.
    • PILOT/GUIDE – 1 Pilot/Guide Tent (not same standard as guest rooms).
    • DINING – Various indoor and outdoor dining locations.
    • CAMP FIRE – Open air fire deck in front of camp connected to the main area via a raised boardwalk.
    • SWIMMING POOL – On a separate deck with easy access from the main area.
    • BAR – Fully stocked self service bar.
    • CURIO SHOP – Accepts cash and credit card payments.
    • LAUNDRY – Daily, inclusive laundry service available.
    • WATER – Reverse osmosis water treatment plant supplies drinking water (bottled water on request).
    • ELECTRICITY – Operates on AC 220V generator power during the day and evening. The generator is switched off at night and inverted 12-volt DC lighting provides room and bathroom illumination overnight. 220V AC plug’s available in guest rooms.
    • INTERNET – Guest laptop available with basic internet connection in the library – there is no Wi-Fi available.

    • FANS – Fans are available in all rooms – there is no air-conditioning in the rooms.

    • SAFE – A small pass-code protected safe for storing valuables.
    • FLASHLIGHT – For use in the rooms at night.
    • AIR HORN – For use in case of an emergency.
    • HAIRDRYER – A small hairdryer is available in each room.
    • BATHROOM AMENITIES – A range of bathroom amenities including biodegradable soaps, shower gels etc.
    • TEA & COFFEE FACILITIES – A small kettle with tea and coffee available.

    Activities

    Guest activities include a choice of morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer or the possibility to explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat. This blend of activities allows for access to incredible landscapes, impressive wildlife as well as the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta.

    Our team of experienced Professional guides will introduce you to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree, herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green or a pride of Lions camouflaged in the long grass. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. Birdlife is prolific and the majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike.

    • GUIDED GAME DRIVES – Morning and afternoon game drives to explore the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer.
    • MOTORISED BOAT SAFARIS – Guided excursions through the deeper channels and lagoons of the Okavango Delta in hard-bottom aluminum boats. The boats are equipped with comfortable seats, a foldaway canvas roof and life jackets.
    • BIRD WATCHING – Birding is quite spectacular, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed.
