Day 1. Meet at the airport and transfer to Fifth Avenue Beach House which is located 50 metres from Hobie Beach and within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants and the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Centre. Spend a day at leisure in Port Elizabeth, enjoy the city's wonderful blue flag beaches and excellent restaurants. Port Elizabeth is not only a great place for water sports, surfing, sailing jet skis and diving. Let us know what you would like and we can organise it. There are also four first class golf courses including the Humewood Links course, regularly voted as one of top 5 of the country.

Day 3.Leave Port Elizabeth for the Addo Elephant National Park which is home to over 400 elephants, the highest density of elephants in the world. Lions have also been reintroduced into the area after they were hunted to extinction in the 1840's. But there is more to Addo National Park than just the "Big 7" there are over 200 other mammal species. The Addo National Park is malaria free and no medication is required. Stay overnight at Kuzuko Lodge which is located within a private section of the Greater Addo National Park in the Zuurberg Mountains. It is here, where the evening's silence is broken by the howl of the black-backed jackal and the francolins' calls herald each new dawn, you will find the luxurious Kuzuko Lodge. Attractions which will enhance your nature experience are star-gazing telescopes, waterhole hides, walks to Bushmen paintings, day and night game drives, bird-watching and Wellness. Recreation facilities include a restaurant, bar and lounge, swimming pool and a wellness centre.

Day 4. After breakfast and morning activity travel onwards to the Award winning 5 Star Shamwari Game Reserve. Arrive in for lunch which is followed by an afternoon/evening game drive followed by a wonderful evening meal in one of the elegant dinning rooms. Shamwari Game Reserve is one of the amazing success stories of the Eastern Cape. Established as recently as 1990 animals hunted to extinction in the 1800's have been returned to their natural environment. Shamwari is a 20,000 hectare reserve which not only has the "Big Five" but numerous other animals. A measure of the success of Shamwari Game Reserve is the number of visitors who return year after year eager to see the improvements that have been made since their last visit. |
