Shamwari Game Reserve.

Shamwari was the first luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape established in 1990 and covers 25,000 hectares (61,000 acres) and is 65 km's 45 minutes from Port Elizabeth.It is situated in verdant bush along the Bushmans River, halfway between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown.

Long Lee Manor

Built in 1910 as the Manor House and offers a distinctive colonial experience in the heart of the African bush, and overlooks the sweeping plains looking down to Bushmans River. All rooms have either ceiling fans or air conditioning& under floor heating , Satellite/TV in all rooms , International direct dial in all rooms , Floodlit tennis court , 2 Swimming pools , Private conference facility , Curio Shop , Private airstrip , Courtyard for outdoor dining , Original 1916 Barn with outdoor dining facilities.

Sarili Lodge

With African travel becoming a family affair, Shamwari Game Reserve opened Sarili, a new luxury lodge exclusively for families. An environmentally friendly private African thatch designed villa with a spacious deck overlooking the Bushman's River with expansive views of the plains, the lodge is positioned in the southern region of the Reserve. The décor emulates an old traditional farmhouse with interiors that reflect an easy living home lifestyle in a natural environment.

Shamwari offers a special “Kids on Safari” programme where kids aged 4 and older have a chance of a lifetime to view the Big 5, view a special educational film and visit the Born Free Foundation and Shamwari Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Bayethe

"By-ye-ti" is the welcoming greeting you will receive on your arrival at this splendid stone walled and thatched roof lodge. Absorb the pulse of the African bush from the viewing deck, framed by riverine tree overlooking river pools where antelope venture a twighlight drink and crowned eagles glide on the darkening sky. Bayethe Lodge offers the ultimate in luxury, tented accommodation. Each of the nine tents are nestled along the bed of the river, camouflaged under trees allowing ample privacy and unsurpassed comforts. Each tent is air conditioned, heated, has an en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, private plunge pool and viewing deck.
